Her parents immigrated from Colombia and became proud U.S. citizens before she was born. Over the years, Sylvia has built an incredibly diverse professional background. From restaurants/retail to insurance—and even the Coroner's Office—she has worked with people from every walk of life. Having grown up in Rogers Park, lived in the Glenview area during college, spent time in Lake and Kane Counties, and now calling Algonquin home for the past four years after nearly three decades in McHenry County, Sylvia offers firsthand knowledge of Chicago's Northwest Suburbs. She enjoys attending local community events whenever possible, allowing her to stay connected to the neighborhoods she serves.
Outside of real estate, Sylvia treasures spending time with her husband, three grown children, and four energetic grandchildren. She's also a proud "foster fail" dog mom! Her passion for helping others extends beyond real estate, having previously volunteered as a speaker for a foundation supporting survivors of domestic abuse while also overseeing parenting classes for individuals navigating domestic violence situations and
difficult divorces. When she's not working, Sylvia enjoys riding motorcycles, exploring farmers markets and antique shops, and attending iconic '80s or '90s concerts with her husband.
