Some people discover their passion late in life. Carmen Cervantes discovered hers on a sixth-grade field trip: an architectural boat tour of Chicago that sparked a lifelong love of buildings, design, and the stories cities tell through their buildings That early spark sent her on a journey that has taken her from Pilsen to Atlanta to St. Louis and back again, accumulating credentials and experience that few brokers can match.
Carmen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Art and Architecture from Agnes Scott College and a Master of Architecture with Honors from Washington University in St. Louis. But her education didn't stop there. Over the past decade, she has been actively flipping homes alongside investors, taking on private interior design clients, and renovating her own duplex using a 203K rehab loan.
She also serves as a BIM Manager for a theatre design firm—a role that draws on her full range of skills across architecture, construction, and digital technology. She doesn't just understand the real estate market—she understands the bones of a building, the arc of a renovation, and the vision it takes to see a property's potential before anyone else does.
That rare combination of architectural expertise, design sensibility, and hands-on construction experience makes Carmen a uniquely powerful advocate for her clients. Whether you are a first-time buyer trying to evaluate a fixer-upper, a homeowner planning a pre-listing renovation, or someone looking to grow their real estate investment portfolio, Carmen brings a level of expertise that extends far beyond the transaction; she is an architect, designer, builder, and broker all in one.
Returning to her beloved Pilsen four years ago, Carmen is energized by the vibrancy and warmth that define Chicago—and by the opportunity to help others put down roots, build equity, and realize the full potential of a property, whether it’s their home or an investment.
